It has only passed 4 days since I started the do habit here on freestyle mind. However, given the amount of change and vibrations I’ve been experiencing during these days I decided to post a first update today.
Before going any further, I want to point out that I’m currently working for a client three days per week (monday, wednesday, friday), so I had some time to concentrate on this habit.
Business
On the first day, I started to work on my tasks in the morning as usual, but at some point I started to feel a sense of being stuck. Also I didn’t know why, but I had included in my todo list a session of business planning, so I decided that it was the best way to do it.
In just under 20 minutes, I got rid of all the projects I had planned (websites mostly) and wrote on a sheet of paper my three most important projects.
When I did that, I felt a sense of completeness and clarity, so I decided that those three projects will be the ones where I’ll be working the most in the following months. If you are curious, the first project is this blog, and the other two are two websites I want to grow for my 10,000 euros/month challenge.
Relationships
Another thing that happened yesterday is that I took the courage to end a relationships that was simply not working anymore. I opted to maintain a relationship based on friendship which makes more sense to me, as I don’t have to follow some rules that couples should follow, but I’m still able to express my love.
It was not easy, but I’m open to all possibilities as long as we can be free of doing what we want. I’ll see what will happen.
My thoughts so far about the do habit
Overall I feel happy about this challenge, as it’s already changing a lot of things inside of me. On the business level, I’m finally experiencing a sense of clearness, meaning that ideas inside my head are free to flow and it’s easier for me to catch them. On the relationships side, I did an important step that will have big consequences even in other areas.
I think all these events are the result of my do habit, because by focusing on being practical I was forced to face reality on a new level and to make quick decisions about what I was going to do. Maybe words are not enough to describe the change I’m feeling these days, but you have to trust me it’s something unique that I never experienced.
The best thing is that I’m still on the 4th day of this apparently harmless habit change and I can’t wait to see what will happen in the following days.
P.S. I added a free newsletter box at the end of every post. I’d be glad if you decide to subscribe to it. I only plan to send 1 mail per month, so you should not feel overwhelmed, and you can unsubscribe at any time. I hope to see you inside ;)

Oscar, very courageous ending the relationship. Obviously, the specifics or the person involved are none of my business, but it’s been my experience that if you’re in a relationship that’s not working for you, one that you’re not growing with, it holds you back A LOT. Sometimes you dont’ even realize it until it’s over. Again, clarity and knowing what you want are so important.
Thanks again for the badge! Have an excellent weekend, my friend!!

Hey Oscar.
Nice work on writing down your three most important projects. If that isn’t a way to keep yourself from spreading yourself too thin, I don’t know what is. It is also harder than it sounds to list your three most important projects. While it may look easy to some, it means canceling on other potential opportunities that are not as fruitful or desirable to work on.
I Do look to see that you Do future updates on the Do habit, as I like following up on it.

Hey Oscar,
Good going with this habit. It is a lot easier, indeed, to just act and let things flow, isn’t it? The momentum we get from just doing creates a nice sense of clarity and purpose in our lives, whereas the wanderers and procrastinators often complain of a lack of direction.
Excellent progress and I look forward to seeing more updates!

Letting go of a relationship isn’t easy. But if it’s necessary for growth, then it’s a bitter pill that must be swallowed. Hope you’re doing great Oscar. Keep up the good work with the Do Habit. :D
