My plan to make 10,000 euros per month

Today I want to share with you my plan to earn 10,000 euros/month from passive income. 10,000 euros are the equivalent of circa 14,000 dollars and I think they are a nice and substantial amount of money to have. I want to achieve this level of finance to work more on my goals and in what I really enjoy. First of all, I want to clarify that I’m not going to achieve this goal by monetizing this blog. In fact, while I expect this site to become very popular in the future (that’s my goal), I wont consider any income generated here to be part of my financial plan. Blogging is just a genuine passion and I don’t want to ruin it.

So, let’s take a general overview of what I’m going to do. First of all, 10,000 euros per month is a large goal to be achieved, so I cut that into smaller goals. My plan looks like this:

- Earn 100 euros/month
- Earn 250 euros/month
- Earn 500 euros/month
- Earn 1000 euros/month
- Earn 2500 euros/month
- Earn 5000 euros/month
- Earn 10000 euros/month

The reason I’m starting with only 100 euros per month is simple. It seems reasonable for me to come up with one website (or many) that generates only 100 euros per month. If I earn 10 dollars per commission, I will only need to make a sale every three days to reach this goal. But if I start with 1000 euros per month, that would feel too overwhelming for me, and I would easily give up after a while if I don’t see results. Another reason for this approach is that once I reach a certain subgoals, I’ll know that I just need to scale what I did to reach the upper subgoal without feeling overwhelmed again.

I think that at this point, most of you will agree with what I said, but at the same time you’ll be wondering how actually I’ll make those moneys. That’s an interesting question and I’ve thought about it for the last couple of months. Basically I want a business that I can run with only 1-2 hours per day, that runs on autopilot and that it’s easily scalable. Ah, and I don’t have a lot of money to invest initially, so it must be pretty cheap to start. I did a lot of research on this subject, and what I came up with is that the best business that satisfy these requisites is internet marketing. I wont explain here what internet marketing is, but I’ll give you a nice resource later on this post.

Will it work?

I personally don’t know if it will work or not, but I sincerely don’t mind about it. If it will not work, I’m sure I will have learnt a lot of valuable things along the way, but if it will work instead, well, that will change a lot of things. This is definitely a win-win situation. I also want to point out that this, along with blogging here, is the major goal I have, and that I will work on it every day. I’m really determined about achieving it.

What about you?

If this post would end up here, you’ll probably would close this page thinking that this guy is only thinking for himself. In reality, the reason I posted this here is because I will publicize my progress on this blog, and I’ll share with you what’s working and what’s not. I really want to inspire others and create more wealth, if that’s possible. If you are not interest in this kind of things though, don’t worry, posts such as this are only a small proportion of what I’m coming up with. In fact, finance is only a minor part of personal development, and definitely not the most important.

I promised to give you a link to a resource about internet marketing. My friend Glen have just published a book about making money with blogging and mini sites. He’s already making a nice amount of money from internet marketing, and he’s genuinely interested in helping others. You can skip the blogging part if you want, and only read what’s interesting for you. Remember that what it takes to achieve a goal is to take action, don’t let your ideas and dreams to stay inside your head forever.

I got the feeling that you are trying to earn money from small niche sites. If this is correct, I recommend you to work within the same niche and then create a big site which all of you small sites are linking to. By doing so you’ll have a better chance of earning the big bucks.

For an example, if you decide to sell Ferrari. Create one big site about Ferrari and all of their cars. Then create one small niche site about every car they have.

I will publish a post about this next week and go more in detail.

    Hey Oscar:)
Awesome that you are joining in on the online passive income goal.

I for myself have set a goal of $10000 a month, and just like you, the journey starts with dollars and cents until you make it bigger and grow it some more until you finally reach your income goal.

Currently I’m around $500 a month which Im really happy with, and continuing to work hard!

Good luck with your goal! Id love to follow your progress, keep us updated;)

Good luck Oscar! I think you have the right idea in looking beyond the blog to make money. From what I’ve read, those who do well generally have other money-generating revenue streams and not just their blogs.

The major reason I don’t want to use this blog is that I don’t want to sacrifice quality for money. I think in the long run it will pay off.

Good Goal there, Oscar. I have a wicked budget plan that I am trying to succeed in and its breaking it up into smaller steps that really, really helps.

I think you can do it. And thanks, Stefan – that is some great advice.

I tried the affiliate marketing, but haven’t put enough effort into it. I have a site up…but haven’t done much with it then let it float around in internet space.

I look forward to the updates. :)

I think if you work hard enough you can definitely succeed with that goal Oscar… and you certainly seem capable of putting out new content.

In my experience, and with the results I’ve had from my site… the best advice I can give is to not give up or get frustrated. Traffic (and income) doesn’t just show up overnight, and it can certainly be slow going at times. Just stick with it, ENJOY what you do, and before you know it, the results will flow in endlessly.

I like your way of thinking, and I have been trying to do the same thing myself, starting with a low target and working up.

My problem, as with many others I am sure, is that to achieve your goal, you need to find a formula that works. That is the hardest thing for me, especially with affiliate programs. But I am sticking at it.

Happy to swap Blogroll links with any good relevant blogs of course. Actually your blog would make a good mini-article. Maybe you would like to write something for me to post? I would be happy to pass on some good tips via your blog to my readers.

I am having very similar goals and methods. I’ve been updating my progress each month. Once I make it to my end goal I’m going to go back and write the book for it, hopefully furthering my cause.
