Guest Post Marathon

I’ve been excited by the idea of Josh who decided to run a guest post marathon. He got a lot of requests and he did write a lot of guest posts lately (one is coming here too).

This post is just to announce that I’m starting my own guest post marathon for freestyle mind.

If you have a blog, keep reading. If you don’t have a blog, it would be cool if you could refer this page to your friends who have a blog. Also that’s not a reason why we can’t get in touch ;)

The guest post marathon

Basically the idea is simple. You send me an email with your blog url, an estimated word count (between 300-800 words is best) and a topic. Here’s what I could write for you.

  • Productivity. If you want that your readers will go back doing real work that produces real results after reading my post, then I’m your guy.

  • Learning. I love to learn new things and find way to hack my learning style.

  • Freelancing. I’ve been freelancing for the past three years, working for small studios and international startups.

  • Programming. I’m a competent web developer. I program in ruby on rails and I’ve already posted a few times on development websites. I hate php.

  • Health. I’m not that expert in health, but I love kettlebells, martial arts and cardio training.

  • Interviews. I’d love to be interviewed for your blog. I prefer written interviews unless you want to laugh for my still strong italian accent.

  • Anything else. Even if it’s not listed here, feel free to send me your request, and I’ll get back to you with my opinion.

I want to write as many guest posts as possible. While I can’t guaranteed a deadline for each post, I’m going to answer every mail and I’ll do my best to survive and write for everyone. Unless, you want me to write about something that’s offensive for me.

Use the contact me form and send me your request today.

Update: it doesn’t matter how much subscribers your blog has. This is both for established blogs and for bloggers who are just starting out.

Why Am I doing this?

Because I love writing and helping people, and because this is a crazy thing that I absolutely want to try. I also think this is a great way to know fellow bloggers like you.

Hey Oscar, I’ll take a guest post at http://www.DropOfChange.com

I’d really enjoy a story or productivity style post detailing your shift from a manual labor job (I’ve been there) to a freelance/working for yourself life. Something that can give people who are looking to start up a small business can take away 1 or 2 really solid points.

I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing there to spread the love. If you’re interested for a guest post of your own let me know.

    What an amazing idea Oscar.

This is a great challenge. How many guest posts do you think you will write?
I would love to have a guest post from you on my blog.

    See you :)

Until now I got 8 requests. I hope I’ll get many more in the following days. I’ll write the posts as they come, so the first who requested will be the first who’ll receive it.

    Hey Oscar,

This is a really good idea, one that I’ve been also planning to do lately :D
Another quest that we share is the hundred push-ups challenge. I’d be honored if you wrote me a guest post for www.simplywilldo.com on the importance of exercise in our lives, and tips on fitting exercise into busy schedules.

Thanking you in advance, and wishing you a great time writing these posts,
    Zoli

I also read the copyblogger post, but at the time I dismissed it as “something that wouldn’t work for me, because I don’t have a super-successful blog or OCD”.

But now that I see you doing this, I realize I could do it as well! So thanks for inspiring me, and I’ll probably be offering a guest post marathon myself, once my schedule clears up a bit near the holidays.

I’ve noticed a bit of a guest post craze going on at the moment! Where do you all get the time and energy? I’ve taken advantage of a few to free up some of my own time but don’t want to neglect my own readers.

You sort out these eager beavers and if you’re still up for it next year I’d love to take you up on it then.

Bon courage as they say in France!

      Hey Annabel :)
I simply write 3-5 guest posts per week, so I can deliver 20 guest posts per month, and that’s very cool!
