This is an update to my [link]becoming a better writer[/link] challenge. So far I have been able to write everyday for at least thirty minutes. I’ve found that during certain days I can keep writing for as long as one hour without interruptions, while other days I have less inspiration and less ideas. I think that writing is made by two different factors, the first one is the act of writing down ideas and to express them so that everyone can understand them, and the second is the ability to use correct grammar. I’m far from both, and thirty days will not certainly be enough for me to acquire the necessary knowledge to consider myself a good writer, but if I will continue to do my home-works, I will eventually become one.
Regarding finding inspiration, Alex from [link]unleash reality[/link] [link comments]suggested to keep a notebook of inspirational phrases, expressions and metaphors, and to read them before starting to write to enter our brain in the creative mode. I’ve started mine this week and it contains only a few phrases, but I’m sure it’ll grow up very soon.
Regarding grammar, I’m going to do exercises from a [http://www.edufind.com/english/grammar/index.cfm]website and a book, especially in those days when I lack inspiration.
That’s all, if you have suggestion regarding this challenge or regarding websites, I’d be glad to add them to this post, just say your opinion in the comments.
