This is my fifth update of my 10,000 euros/month project.
This month I earned slightly less than the last month, but overall the trend is still growing.
What I did in November
November has been the do month for me and I’ve seen dramatically changes in my life. I’ll be posting a detailed article about this in the following days, so I wont bother with it now. Instead is interesting to see what happened to my business.
Regarding blogging, I focused entirely on creating value. In fact I started a guest post marathon, created a newsletter (by the way, you should really subscribe to it at the end of this post) and increased my post frequency.
I have to say this payed off. On the last 30 days I received more than 15,000 visits and I’m really happy with it. Part of this success is given by my post about how to keep track of what you’ve learnt, which went viral, and received a lot of attention. Traffic is now become stable again at 2-300 unique visitors a day, which is still a good result. My rss counter has grown as well, and I’m now close to reach 400 subscribers. It may seem low to you, but I started blogging in june without knowing anyone in this niche and writing in a language that I don’t speak every day (I would say almost never), so everything as been driven by passion and excitement to learn.
Regarding the other project I started, showmemoney, which is a free tool to keep track of how much your websites are earning, I’ve just received the new homepage graphic, and I’ll begin working on it today. The site is stable and can already be used.
Lesson learned
This month I learnt that I can get a lot done by focusing on the important things. I also learnt that outsourcing is sometimes better that trying to do everything myself.
Show me the money
As I said earlier, this month I earned less that the last month, in fact I earned just $82.58.
But, it’s still a growing trend, because I recently dropped adsense, and this amount comes entirely from blogging, and last month I earned less in that perspective.
The difference is that last month I made some money from an affiliate website, which receives only a small amount of traffic, and this month it didn’t convert at all. Also, my attention has been on creating showmemoney, so I couldn’t pay a lot of attention to the other websites.
Of course my plan is not to make my money entirely by blogging, and I’m working actively in many other sources.
What I plan to do in December
This month I’ll continue to work on my blog and on showmemoney, as those are the two things I care the most. I also want to setup a new affiliate website, this time on a very huge niche. I’m still studying and planning the subject, and I’ll make my decision soon. If everything goes well, that will be a very profitable website.

Why did you decide to drop AdSense?

reply to this comment
Because the layout was not optimized for adsense, so I was having a very little CTR. At that point I decided that I could have used the space for something else, and indeed I inserted a newsletter box.

Nice update and congrats on your success Oscar. I really enjoy reading your articles and you are definitely providing value.
I too have been working on an affiliate site, but just one right now. I figure that it’s better for me to learn the ins and outs of doing it once and then learn from my mistakes and successes so I can copy for another site.
Also, you’re writing is better than most English speakers, so don’t be concerned about that. Most of my writing is composed through e-mails at work, so grammar is definitely neglected. Fortunately, blogging is helping me regain and enhance some of my writing skills.

Congrats Oscar, this sounds great. Showmemoney sounds like a useful tool for webmaster juggling with a bunch of sites. Always good to read about your lessons learned.

Nice work Oscar! I’m impressed with the content you’ve published here and elsewhere, given that English is your second language and you’ve only been blogging for a few months. I hope to get the same success that you’ve been getting sometime, but my website is still in its infancy.
I look forward to hearing more about your “Do” habit and how it has paid off!

Brett, if you look at my firsts posts, you can see that I was getting only 1-2 comments per post, and traffic was very low, so the key is to continue and grow a bit every day if possible.

It’s really interesting see you month results.
400 subscribers is a good number for a 6 month old blog. Congrats.
You said you are outsourcing. What do you outsource? I guess you mean something related with showmemoney, don’t you?
Regards :)

Hey Oscar!
Congrats on your success with your blog, 400 subscribers is quite something. All those guest posts help much! :)
I have just started on a new affiliate site which is going to be my project over the next 3 months. Its a keyword that gets over 1 million exact searches so its going to be a tough niche to crack, but if I get in it then it means big $$$ :)
Keep up the good work!
Cheers
