If you think that you don’t have enough time for exercising every day, you’re not alone. Many people have complained that it’s hard to find the time every day to go to the gym or to go out for a run.
I don’t want to talk about how you could find that time if you really wanted to, as you probably know that already. Instead I would like to show how you can get a very decent workout in just 10 minutes per day.
High intensity training videos
The following are all high intensities training program designed to keep you in shape. They may look easy to do, but if you’ve ever tried them, you know that you’re guaranteed to go out of breath soon.
These exercises take less than 10 minutes to accomplish, but I do recommend warming up a bit before starting your session.
There are many more videos available, so feel free to check them out if you want. Just know that there are plenty of possibilities even if you have limited time.
You don’t have to buy anything
What I like about these exercises is that you don’t really have to buy anything to do them. I have to admit that I do own some gear, but I’ll give it away once I’ll move this summer.
I came to realize that all you really need is your body weight, and that’s enough to get in a very good shape.
If you have some training tips, please share them in the comments!
Yep totally, bodyweight’s enough. The maaaajor problems are getting off that ass and committing to doing the exercises.
You gotta want it bad enough; and its funny how people don’t reaaaally want good bodies even though they need ’em to live hah.

Yes it’s true. Hopefully the idea of working out for just 10 minutes will inspire many to get started.

Doing HIT every day is too much, you need at least 3-4 days rest or you won’t let your body recover.
10 minutes a week is more appropriate.

Wait, you mean 10 minutes a week of training? I can see your point (maybe), but in my experience it’s too general. It would be true if you would train the same muscles every day but this is rarely the case.

Hey Oscar,
Thanks for collecting all these videos in one place. I try to get in 30-60 minutes of exercise a day, but I keep my intensity a little lower than that =)
reply to this comment
Hey Sid, of course it’s hard to do that intensity for 30-60 minutes :) Those workouts are designed for limited time.

Hey I’ve researched this before, I hear it works really well. I haven’t tried it yet though. There is a high intensity training for weight lifting but it is completely different than these videos. Interesting post!

There are so many tools that are helpful in getting a quick workout in. I find what works for me are those resistance bands and perfect push-ups. There so convenient for working out at home. Thanks for sharing!!

Hi Jarrod, I have to use a tool for pushups because my wrists are weak. They’re not like perfect pushups but they do the job. When I don’t have available I just use punches tough.

Oscar, the point you are making is what I live and breathe and have all my life…at one period in my life, I let it go and I am never going to do that again – Dragos just wrote a post on investing in yourself, and if our health is not a priority as he stats and I totally agree, then what is the point of working so hard and accumulating all that we are….! So while I don’t like pumping weights and am more than done with my aerobics and kickboxing days I know I need my cardio…I want to add Kundalini yoga to this series but it is a series of DVDs…hmmm. Yoga then? For that you need just a mat. Any yoga, Oscar? :)!

I don’t have experience with yoga, but some friends have told me it’s very good. I think the important thing is to just get started and do something.

It might take 10 minutes but you’ll be feeling it ALL day and if you don’t you haven’t done it right! I did 30 days of tabata intervals every day recently and blogged daily about it. It was a really eye opening experience. You get your body to teach itself to recover so quickly, it feels great.

Hi Richard. Yes when you start you feel that way, for example when I started training for martial arts a few years ago I could barely walk the days after, but now I’m just fine :)

Bodyweight exercises are probably the most efficient way to get in shape. I’m doing karate at the time, and silly as it sounds, but punching and kicking the air can really improve a lot muscle power.
As a side note, isometric exercises (made popular by Charles Atlas, a pioneer in “get strong quick” marketing in the 50’s, and side character in Vonnegut’s Cat’s craddle) can improve quite easily muscle sharpness and strength (not volume, luckily!)

Hey Ruben, thanks for your comment. I’m fascinated by isometric exercises and I really want to try them out more, thanks for reminding about them.

Excellent videos Oscar. This is something I need to get myself into. I could use it lol. Now that I have quit smoking it’s time to get back in shape!
On a side note, why are exercise videos so corny? Of course I’m not sure how to make it less so. I don’t know…
Thanks for the info!

I think it’s because they want to be perceived as straightforward so that everyone will think they can do them. If you look around there are some more advanced exercises tough.

Hey Oscar,
Nice simple suggestion. It always makes me chuckle when people say they’re joining a gym? I say what a waste of money. Get into the habit of exercising for 3 months first and only then consider if it’s something you really need.
